Bella Garden Receives Shop Local Prize

Residents are embracing the Shop Local campaign and making a concentrated effort to Shop Local this holiday season. The Shop Local campaign, started by Osprey Observer staff to encourage local shopping is a way of identifying local businesses as locally-owned businesses. Participating businesses can be identified with a Shop Local banner and window cling in their business. Shoppers just have to go online and click on the Shop Local icon on www.ospreyobserver.com to enter the store in for the Shop Local business of the month designation. Each entry also enters the resident in for a $10 prize from a Shop Local merchant.
Bella Garden was the standout business for the first Shop Local Business of the Month campaign and received the Shop Local certificate for Display for the month of January. The Owners of Bella Garden are no strangers to creative marketing campaigns. Owners Maria Malec and Stacey Recktenwald opened their boutique shop two years ago and have added few lines and expanded offerings.
Now, the friends and business owners, have found their niche in quality, high end gift items at reasonable prices. “We have nine children between us that we are raising in this community and Shop Local is one way we can get involved in the community,” says Recktenwald who also offers local sports teams and schools fundraising opportunities with Bella Garden special days.
Bella Garden is a boutique located in the FishHawk Publix Plaza. Gift wrapping is always free and the store offers gift registry, monogramming, gift baskets, in store promotions and events. Brands include Vera Bradley, Brighton , Tommy Bahama, Crabtree & Evelyn, Reef and Lucky Brand, to name a few. “We have made it easy and affordable to find that perfect gift you won’t find everywhere,” said co-owner Stacy Recktenwald.
