Meet the co-owners, Maria and Stacey:
When Maria Malec and Stacey Recktenwald launched Bella Garden in fall 2006, the former NJ neighbors became moms on a mission: to provide local customers with a source for fashionable, affordable apparel, accessories and gifts. Together, the businesswomen with nine children between them find they still share a common goal. “We are just two moms who live, shop, and worship with the same people who shop in our store,” Maria says. “We strive to make every customer feels special and hope that each encounter brings a smile to someone through the gift of giving.”
Inside Bella Garden , shoppers can find such popular names as Brighton, Vera Bradley, Pandora, Miche Handbags, Reef Footwear, Lucky Brand Jewelry and lots more in between. “We’ve always stayed on top of trends and try to bring in products that can appeal to a broad age range,” says Stacey. Additionally, on-site embroidery services make it easy to personalize gifts to add that special touch.
The store regularly holds monthly in-store events, after-hours get-togethers, fundraisers, outdoor markets, Vera Bradley birthday celebrations and stays connected to the Lithia community through donations and support of local sports teams with a Diamond sponsorship at the Fishhawk Sports Complex. “We’ll rarely say no to those in need,” says Maria.
